The Legacy Lab exists to give business owners advice specific enough to act on. This page explains how that content gets made, who stands behind it, and what happens when we get something wrong.
Who writes our content
Every article carries a named author who is accountable for it. Most content is authored by Shawn Mahdavi, CAL's founder and the practitioner who builds the systems the content describes. Education and learning content is led and reviewed by Shika Mahdavi, PhD, who holds a doctorate in Education.
How content is produced
We are an AI-first agency and we use AI the way we tell clients to use it: as leverage under human direction. Articles are drafted with AI assistance, directed by our team's briefs and first-hand experience, and edited before publishing. The recipes, configurations, and KPI benchmarks we publish reflect the actual systems we build and run for DFW businesses. Details are in our AI Disclosure.
Sourcing standards
- Claims about platforms, pricing, and regulations reflect the state of those things at the publish date shown on each post.
- Revenue and performance figures are either drawn from our own work, clearly framed as illustrative scenarios, or attributed to their source.
- We do not publish fabricated testimonials, invented case results, or statistics we cannot stand behind.
Expert review
Content about education and learning is reviewed by Shika Mahdavi, PhD. Where content touches regulated topics (health operations, financial services), we write to the operational layer we know, flag where professional advice is required, and are expanding a named expert-reviewer program for those verticals. Reviewed posts display the reviewer beneath the author byline.
Updates and corrections
Posts show a published date, and materially updated posts show an updated date. If you find an error, email info@createalegacy.co and we will review it promptly. Corrections that change a post's conclusions are noted in the post.
Advertising and conflicts
The Legacy Lab contains no sponsored posts and no affiliate links. When we mention tools we use commercially (GoHighLevel, Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, Google), that relationship is the service we sell: we install and run these platforms for clients. We recommend what we would deploy, not what pays us to say so.
